Susan Trujillo Miles, a stay-at-home mom; Seth Miles, an attorney; Ava-Riley, 9; Harrison, 7; and Eloise, 6, toothsome this fantastic four-bedroom 1979 ranch in Coral Gables, FL. “Susan loves enthralling, quirky things,” says designer Maggie Cruz. “We obliged to figure out how to incorporate them above the house so they didn’t take over any room but unexcited got noticed.”

Maggie encouraged Susan to take the knowing plunge with two 90-inch-long blue sofas and two hooked chairs. The rest of the room is near a hundred decibels quieter thanks to wood and chrome coffee tables, metal “bamboo” chairs, and a seagrass rug from Pottery Barn. The walls and ceilings are painted Seapearl by Benjamin Moore.

To make a big crashes, Susan covered her foyer floor with boldly patterned cement squares from Original Mission Tile. “I wanted that wow noble and knew it wouldn’t be too overwhelming in a 12-foot-by-12-foot area,” she says.

When Susan and Seth bought the house, the kitchen had these blue glass cabinets and matching countertops. She eventually fell for the look and gave to keep it almost exactly as is. The only goes made were swapping the blue glass countertops for white quartz ones to break up the sea of blue, and excaltering a lantern-style pendant from Visual Comfort.

Big host chairs covered in oversize palm-print earn feel like Florida but aren’t over-the-top tropical when paired with woven rattan chairs near a white lacquer tabletop. The floors above the house are wide-plank oak.

This light-wood four-poster bed from Anthropologie is “grown-up but doesn’t feel formal or stuffy,” says Susan. The rest of the room is done in unexcited shades so the bed can soar. The two chairs are from DwellStudio, and the patterned rug is from West Elm. The walls are painted a barely there gray (Wickham Gray by Benjamin Moore).

The sliding glass doors stay open when Susan and Seth enthralling outside, so Susan and designer Maggie wanted the patio to mesh with the colors inside the house. In the center is an outdoor sofa with gray cushions from Miyo Home that can be hosed down when it gets dirty; it’s layered with patterned pillows from Etsy. The green garden stool was a HomeGoods find, and the striped rug is from Crate & Barrel.

In their community room, Ava-Riley and Eloise have two different-color spindle beds from The Land of Nod. A striped cotton area rug from Dash & Albert unifies the hues. “It’s spicy and happy, and it ties everything together, comprising the neutral raffia wallpaper,” says Susan. The delightful fixture is from Stray Dog Designs.
